How to get back from Safe Mode to regular startup

A few weeks ago I must have altered something and now Win 2000 is
starting in Safe Mode.

I've cleaned out the Registry several times, reinstalled, etc., but
the result is always the same.

Any other suggestions would be most welcome.

Might depend on the damage done by the "cleaning process" to the registry.
Also check the event log for error details and device manager for device
stop codes.
