how to get aero icon in the task bar?

My "switch between windows" button has disappeared from the Quick Launch
toolbar. I tried your suggestions below but to no avail. Seems my default is
no longer a default. How can I get it back?

You can find a copy under:

C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
