How to fix an error when connecting to a POP3 mail server in Outl.

I am getting an error when my Outlook is attempting to connect to the POP3
mail server. The error number is 0x8004210A. I can retreive emails from the
web, so I am assuming this may be a conflict on my PC. I have had the same
email for 2 yrs and this just happened Christmas day, 2004. Any idea what
could be causing this?

Other things that can cause this message is any internet security product
that can scan pop3 e-mail in real-time. Try disabling the e-mail scanning
in your respective product or uninstall/reinstall w/out e-mail integration.
