How to find duplicate emails

Windows XP Pro SP3
Outlook 2003 SP1

I've been given a pst file that I'm fairly certain is the result of
importing various folders and sub folders from many pst files. Duplication
is rampant. Is there a method to identify or remove duplicate emails?
Maybe a VBA procedure? The pst file I have to work with has just over 7k
email items, so doing this by hand would be agonizingly slow. Any help or
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
