Can anyone help with how to find the Primary and Secondary DNS Addresses of
my Network - Windows XP Network

I try to use winipcfg /all from Start/Run and the answers come up - but the
DOS windows dissappears before I can read it.

Any ideas on how to keep that DOS window open - so I can read the
information

Type "cmd" in Start/Run to open a command prompt window. Type
"ipconfig /all" at the prompt in that window. Close the window with
the "exit" command.

Are you running your own DNS server(s)? In Network Connections, choose
Properties for your connection. Select TCP/IP and then choose Properties.
The current DNS (primary and secondary) will show. If you are not running
your own DNS servers, you should set these the the IP addresses of your
ISP's DNS servers.

Whoa Alan, you confused me. You don't use winipcfg on a WinXP machine,
that command works on Win9x.

For Win9x:
Start/Run. Type in "command" In the DOS window use winipcfg /all

For Win2k/XP:
Start/Run. Type in "cmd" In the console window use ipconfig /all

I only get all the info. that link says I should get if I run ipconfig /all.
Just running ipconfig gives me just 3 pieces of info.
