How do I find the date of installation of my XP Pro system.

I sit in a log somewhere or can I look up the datestamp on certain
files to find this info out?

Using AIDA32 Enterprise Edition you can find out the exact date of the
current installation of the OS under "Operating System", "Operating System
Properties", "Installation Date".

Get AIDA32 here: http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32
Don't forget to download the Enterprise Edition.

Greetings --

From the command prompt, run "systeminfo."

For the date when it was first set up; ie after a format, or of an
upgrade (at least one over Win9x), go to Windows\system32 and r-click on
Catroot. Take Properties, and the Creation date.
