How to export my contacts

The help pages for exporting contacts say to open contacts, then click
"Export" on the toolbar. My toolbar has only "Organize", "Views" and "Burn".

How do I get "Export"?

Try Windows Mail > File > Export

You have the wrong template for your Contacts screen.
Right-click in an empty area on your Contacts screen, select
"Customize This Folder", then from the drop-down list select
Contacts.
