how to erase a name at the bottom of a documen added for security

i am trying to erase the name of a person on the bottom of a page. It has
been added so people can see who wrote the page
 
Select the text and press Delete?

It might be in a footer? If so, you can edit/delete those by going to
view>header and footer>switch between header and footer, and then you should
be able to delete it.
