How to enable macro

Sometimes when I click a button in an excel sheet, I got message "macro disabled". Please advice how to enable. Thanks

In xl2k or higher:
Tools|Macro|Security
(set it to medium to be prompted each time you open a workbook with code
set it to low to avoid the prompt--ms doesn't recommend this one)

In xl97, I think you're limited to just two options (enable or disable macros).
 
close the workbook, then reopen it and don't choose to disable macros.

Another possibility
In Excel 2000 and later, set your security setting to medium.
