How to enable double-clicking to goto the cell a formula refers t.

I'm using Excel 2002 on Windows XP and since getting a new laptop, when I
double-click on a cell containing a formula, it no longer takes me to the
cell which the formula refers to.

Any ideas?

Tools>Options>Edit. Uncheck "edit directly in cell".

When you double click on the cell, does it look like excel expects you to start
editing that cell?

If yes, then turn off "edit directly in cell"

You can find that option under: Tools|Options|Edit tab.
