how to enable add/remove button in add/remove programs?

hi
i have Xp on my comp
somehow i am not getting add/remove button in add/remove programs .
because 0f this i am not able to uninstall any software .
how to make that button visible?
plz help me.

Hi there,

Is your account an administrator, go to control panel, user accounts and
check, if its a limited account then change the account type to administrator
and you should be able to remove programs.

You may have to log in as an administrator to change your account to an
Administrator type.

but i am already logging into my pc using Admin account.
eventhough add/remove button is not displayed.
so now what shud i do?

So every program in the list has no remove button or the remove button is
ghosted out ?

Are you also sure that the program has not been removed and it has just left
the entry in the add and remove programs list.

There is nothing listed here
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Uninstall\ ??

Every program listed in Add or Remove Programs should have an entry in that
registry key. Some programs that are not listed in Add or Remove Programs
have entries in that key.

Or nothing listed for your program?

What program are you trying to remove?
