How to eliminate 'log on' window?

How do I get rid of the log on window during bootup now that I have a
blank password It is a pain to have to hit <Enter> every time I start
up.

Pressing a single key is a "pain?" ;-}

Well, as long as the machine doesn't connect to the Internet and you're
keeping it behind locked doors, I guess you can be lax about normal
security precautions, if you like:
