how to eliminate beep

Guest

I have tried to turn off all sounds in Windows XP. However, there are still
some that I can't figure out how to get rid of. One sounds arises when I
listen to something on the web. There is a beep when I try to change the
volume using the control in what I think is called the system tray. How can
I finally eliminate this annoying sound?

Thanks.

You can find and configure it under Device Manager|View|Show Hidden
Devices|Non Plug and Play|Beep|Action|Properties|Driver, then set the
"Startup Type:" to "Disabled
