How to edit access mdb file

I have an mdb file that I need to open to do some changes and edit for my
particular purpose. I've forgotten how to open it for editing. When I select
the mdb file it opens into an application and I neeed the underlying
information. I've done this in the past but it's been so long that I forgot
how to do it. Guess I should be using the program more often, huh?

appreciate it.
 
My guess is that you want to hold the Shift Key down while opening the
database to bypass the Start-up Options and get the Database Containers
window and the standard MenuBar.
