how to download file from aol e mail

Occasionally I receive e mails via aol with attached files and when I come to
open them I am unable to my screen says I need microsoft powerpoint???
I have windows XP can anyone tell me whether I have to install this system
or whether it is already installed on my machine and I am just not accessing
it properly!! Many thanks

When you click on the file (if you have powerpoint installed) it should play
automatically just like a PDF or Photo file.
Here is a link to download the powerpoint viewer (free) which will allow you
to open these files.
