I am a ham radio operator and we use Greenwich Mean Time or UTC. I can
change the time zone to Grennwich Mean Time but have not found a way to
convert the digital time display to the 24 hour format (without AM or PM).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hal

Click Control Panel, Regional and Language Options. Next click the
Customize button and then the Time tab. In the Time Format box enter the
following for a 24 hour format display:

HH:mm:ss

Hi Hal,

Control Panel/Regioinal and Language Options/Regional Options tab, click
"customize" and go to the Time tab to change these settings.

Click Start / Control Panel / Regional and Language Options / Customize
Button / Time Tab.
In the time Format Line, change the lower case "h" to a capital H.

Hal,

You have four post telling you how to set the 24 hour format. However, since
you appear to be posting from the Eastern time zone, and you change your
zone to another time zone so that the clock will align with UTC, then the
time on your computer will always be off and could cause several problems.

Since several others already answered your specific question, let me add a
little info on the ham radio side. If you check around on the internet,
there are several programs made for hams that display time in UTC, both at
your location and the location of the person you're talking to (simply enter
his callsign and the program displays his location on a map with the time,
grid, and other info). I use one from ARRL, but it was discontinued long ago
(and just barely runs on XP). But I've seen other, more modern, shareware
and freeware offerings. If you can't find anything, ask about it in one of
the ham radio newsgroups. Someone there will put you on the right track.
