How to display figures with thousand omitted

Hi all

Wish to format a cell to display numeric figures with thousand omitted.
i.e, say HK$1,789,123.00 to display as HK$1,789
How can I do that? (rather than dividing the cell by 1,000 then limit
decimal places to 0)

Click FORMAT in the menu, and select CELLS. In the FORMAT CELLS dialog box,
locate CUSTOM in the CATEGORY list (it's at the bottom) and in the TYPE field
to the right of the list box enter the following custom format:

"HK$" ####.00
