How to display Chinese words properly ?

I am using Window XP ENGLISH edition.

I have some friends from China, they are using SIMPLE CHINESE WINDOW XP.
When they send e-mail to me or CHAT by YAHOO messenger, they type Simple
Chinese, however my ENGLISH xp can't show the Chinese they typed correctly,
the Chinese words are displayed as lots of SQUARES .

How to solve this problem ?

Try Control Panel -> Regional and Language settings
Languages-tab bottom check mark (Add east asia languages)
