How to disconnect Outlook Calendar from Hotmail Calendar

I have discovered that my Outlook Calendar and Contacts list are also
available in Windows Live Hotmail. For security reasons I would like to
cancel this. How do I do it?

Put your Contacts and Calendar in a local pst-file;
File-> New-> Outlook Data File...

Well I clicked on the File, New, Outlook Data File to see what it was like.
Result. I lost all my Tasks for the year! And recurring tasks for future
years. Hundreds of entries and projects removed from My Calendar. Panic. I
discovered them in a Personal Folder. But how do I get them back into My
Calendar?

Thanks. But when I opened my Outlook this morning the tasks were restored to
My Calendar - in duplicate. I have no idea why I lost them in the first
place. And now no idea why they are back, twice. I did try to drag the
tasks folder and drop it into My Calendar before I closed down but I got a
message saying that this was not possible. Any idea why all this happened?
The reason I ask is that I find these unexplained (at least to me) events
somewhat scary.

Use a table view, like By Category, select all then drag to the other
folder.
