how to disable delete file confirmation dialogue box

in windows xp, i know of a way to disable the dialogue box that asks
for confirmation when you choose to delete a file, but i cannot
remember how to disable this feature.
anyone know how it's done?
 
right click on the recycle bin and take the tick out of the box that says
display confirmation pete ;-)
