How to delete files that show up on task pane?

I have created three database files and have deleted the records and went in
Windows Explorer and deleted the files. When I get in Access and my task
pane is on the items I deleted are still showing up. Granted you can't get
into them because they are deleted, but how do you delete these files that
show up on the task pane? Version 2003

Eventually, as you open other databases they will disappear.

If it realy bothers you then go to Tools, Option, General, and change
Recently used file list to 1. Close access and then go back and set the list
size again.
