How to delete embedded object

I inserted an embedded object into my spreadsheet (a calendar control 9.0)
and can't seem to find how to delete it.

How would you remove it? I already saved the file so I can't do an undo
anymore.

Open the XL file and go to any toolbar and right click. Select the 'Control
Toolbox'. In the resulting floating toolbar, select the little 'set square'
looking button, (design view) and you will now be able to delete it.

Dismiss the toolbox and save the file
