How to delete an email from Outbox after it froze up during send?

I tried to send an overly large email (26 MB) that froze up on its way out of
my Outbox (via yahoo.com). Now I can't open or delete or move that email, or
delete my Outbox to kill the big email. Everything I try either yields
nothing or tells me that there is a message being sent out.

In checking Send/Receive, the big email shows up as "Sending" and all other
mail is slowed way down by the blockage. The big email has been stuck there
for days. How can I delete this monster so it stops clogging up my email
send/receive processes?

You need to delete the stuck outbox item *before* Outlook ever tries
to send it.

- Put Outlook into offline mode.
- Exit and reload Outlook.
- Delete the item in Outbox.
- Put Outlook back in online mode.

I have following these same instructions, (offline, restart, output) however
when I come back into the outbox the delete function is still not available.
