To delete an account open control panel/users, select the
account and follow the printed info.

To remove the virus that is preventing the opening of device
manager (and may also prevent control panel opening) you
should update your anti-virus program and scan. A nice
tool, STINGER, is available for free from McAfee/NAI which
will scan and remove many viruses, download it from

to delete an account: Control Panel -> Users ... should be obvious from
there.

I have a vaguge recollection that the problem you have with Task Manager
is often related to one of the computer viruses. Suggest you search
this newsgroup for past discussion on this very same problem.
