How to Delete a Screensaver in XP Pro?

Hi

Why can't your AV program delete it? Do you where on your hard
disk/partition the virus is and the name of the virus?

Hi

Which AV program are you using? There may be 'vault' option in the settings
where viruses are deleted to. You will then have to delete the virus from
there. Have a look at the help file your AV program regarding the deletion
of viruses.

Screensavers have the filetype .scr and are (usually) located within the

\WINDOWS\system32 folder.

Search your harddrive(s) for *.scr and you should find all the 'proper' XP
screensavers.
Any dubious screensavers should stand out from the rest.

Martin.

How do I delete a screensaver?

They are files with an .scr extension, normally in windows\system32
Just delete, as any other file
