How to delete a Content plug in

I found a plug in on my computer from a porn site. When I
try to delete it I get a message back that says
Cannot delete, Access denied
Make sure disk is not full or write protected and that
the program is not in use.
Is there anything dangerous about having this on my
computer and how can I get off?
