Dear Sir,
I need your help urgently.
I was encrypted so many files and folders in my system. Some days
before i got the virus in my system. Cant able to remove it. So
finally decided to reinstall the os ( Windows 2000). after installd
os, i cant able to open my encrypted files. it shows the error "Access
denied". then i planned to decrypt the files. But sit shows the "Error
Applying Attributes". Also coming the error "Access is denined". Now
im going to my login only. My login having full administrator rights.
but till now cant able to open the file and also cant move, copy, cut.
Can do the delete process only.

Kindly advice me how to decrypt the files.

Thanks

If you ACTUALLY encrypted the files and did not fully understand what you
were doing and follow best practices by backing up your certificate... Those
files are gone.

If you did not actually encryot the files - you just need to take
ownership...
(BTW - Windows 2000 is not Windows XP - this is a Windows XP Newsgroup...)
