how to cut music for some audio from video

i need to be able to fade out a music track in the middle and get the audio
from the video, then go back to a different music track, is this possible?
How? (For example, I have a music clip playing during a wedding processional,
want to fade it out and go to audio for the ceremony, then start a different
music clip for the recessional, make sense?) PLEASE HELP, I'M NEW TO THIS!

With your video in the timeline...drag the vertical
bar to the point where you wish to mute the audio.
At that point...split the selected video in the timeline
by clicking the Split button (just below the view
screen). (Also you could type..Ctrl+L) Now right
click the portion of the Audio track you want muted
and choose...Mute.

Also on the first part of the clip where you still
want the music you could right click the Audio
track and choose Fade Out.

Now import the sound you wish to use and drag
it to the Audio Music track...it can be positioned
by dragging left or right.
