how to cut and paste documents for e-mail

many companies have on line job applications, requiring a submitted resume.
what is the best approach to cut and paste a document from Word to e-mail?
 
Cut and paste is cut and paste. I would recommend you have a plain text
version of your resume for online applications that do not allow you to
upload a Word or .pdf file.
