How to create a response file for third-party installations

I need to create an automated response file (i.e. no user
intervention required)in order to install the Veritas
BackupExec v.9.1 remote agent onto my network of Windows
XP Pro workstations.

Does anyone know how to create a reponse file for
installing third-party apps.?

I was planning on starting the installation via a Novell
login script command (such as @filename).

Hi

That depends on what install "engine" the product uses. If it is Wise,
InstallShield or a Windows Installer (msi) installation, it is usually possible
to create a unattended install .


You could try to see if you got some help from Veritas as well sending their
support an e-mail:

Also note that Veritas has it own peer to peer newsserver groups:
