How to create a report filter?

I'm a new Microsoft Access user. I have a database with the following
fields:

transaction_date, name, transaction_amount

I have 3 months of transaction data (approximately 6,000 records).

How do I create a Report that will report transactions for only one
particular month? For example, if I want a report of all July
transactions, how do I do this?
