how to create a logs tracker

i wanted to learn excel and am just starting with its basic.

started to read blogs, forums and tutorials too.

But i wanted to create a simple logs tracker for 40 people and all their logs will be linked to just 1 file.

its possible i know but i do not know how to start, Can somebody help me please?

Iam a beginner.
