How to create a HTML/XML page in Word 2007

Hi,

I have Office 2007 student edition. I am trying to make a short web page so
that I can view the HTML or XML codes, copy it and paste it to another
website that allows me to do so. When I open the already created page in
Miccrosoft Explorer web browser it want to launch Word 2007. At that point I
am trying to view the codes but the button is grayed out.
I am willing to redisign the page as it is pretty simple, only text and
Excel table but I need to see the codes so that I can insert them in this
website.

do you want to edit the raw XML/HTML/XHTML code in Word? That wouldn't
be a great idea to begin with (there are better text/code editors out
there).

Or do you want to create your page like a normal document and save as (I
suggest: filtered) HTML? That should work and open in IE itself.

Saving as filtered HTML and then tweaking code from there seems to be
the best approach. But I would not try to do the tweaking in Word
itself. If it's really simply, Notpad or Wordpad might do.
