I want to copy some files from an XP computer to a W2k computer. I've got
the two machines on a Router which is in turn connected to the internet. I
am successfully working with Internet Explorer from both machines. Ho do I
do I copy the files?

1. Create identical user accounts and passwords on both machines.
2. Make a directory on the Win2k machine where you are going to put the
files if you don't already have one. Share this directory.
3. Configure firewalls on both computers to allow the Local Area Network
as trusted.

Have successfully followed your instructions. There is no firewall or
antivirus software on the W2k machine. The XP firewall is tuned off. I've
got a "Norton Internet Explorer" firewall and that is turned off. How do I
'see' the shared folder on the W2k machine from the XP machine?

Your Instructions have proved very useful. I am now up and moving files
from the XP to the W2k. Thank you.
