Am upgrading from very old Works database to Access 2003.
Have copied old Works database list view to Excel 2003. The column titles
did not copy.
1. How can I get the 200+ column titles onto the Excel sheet?
2. Must I design the forms for my new Access database?
3. Or can I copy from Works 4.0 to Access 2003 directly without going
through a spreadsheet first?

Thanks, Ellen

Hi, Ellen.
1. How can I get the 200+ column titles onto the Excel sheet?

Works is not compatible with Microsoft Access, so you may have better luck
posting this question in an Excel or Works News Group.
2. Must I design the forms for my new Access database?

Yes. These won't import from Works. However, there are Access Wizards to
help automate the task of creating forms from the tables and queries already
created in the database.
3. Or can I copy from Works 4.0 to Access 2003 directly without going
through a spreadsheet first?

As I mentioned earlier, Works isn't compatible Microsoft Access. The data
can be exported from Works as a dBase or *.CSV file and then imported into
Access. The spreadsheet isn't necessary, unless of course, Works isn't
installed on your current computer to export the data.

HTH.
