How to copy all files from a disk?

N

Neil

I have had problems booting my windows xp home PC (see thread "Can't boot XP
Home PC" dated 22 April).

I have removed the hard disk and installed it as a slave on another PC to
backup the data before I try to repair the Windows installation. I can see
all folders on the disk but Windows won't let me have access to two folders
so I can't copy the data from them. I get a message that the folder is not
accessible, access is denied.

The folders are sub folders in the "Documents and Settings" folder. One is
named Owner and the other is owner.xxxxxx (xxxxxx = some other characters).
I'm not sure what (if anything) is in these folders.

Can anyone advise me as to how I might be able to see what's in these
folders and backup the files to disk

Thanks

Neil
