Is it possible to copy a query, form, or report in Access 2007 and rename it
and use it as the basis for a new query, form, or report? Or, is it
necessary to start from scratch with each similar query, etc?

You can right-click the object in the navigation pane, choose Copy, then
right-click in the navigation pane and choose Paste. Or you can use Ctrl+C
and Ctrl+V. Either way you'll be prompted for a new name. Or you can click
to select the item, then click Office Button, Save As, Save Object As.
