What do you mean by "MS Word Format"? Windows Metafile? Picture?

Most images can be pasted into Word as a variety of formats. Try copying the
image into the clipboard and then pasting into Word using Paste Special. Or
try saving the original image and inserting into Word using Insert>Image>From
File.

Word does NOT have any capability to convert images to text.

OCR must be done with your scanner software PRIOR to introduction to Word.

Hi Seema,

For MS Office XP(2002) and Office 2003 there is an optional
install application included, MS Office Document Imaging.
If it's installed you can start it from Start=>Programs=>Microsoft Office Tools

Once running you can open your TIF file, run the OCR to send it to Word,
but the results are often very basic. The OCR software that comes with
scanners may do a better job.
