how to convert centimeter into inch in each page margin

I try to edit my document. There is a format to edit a document such as
margin 1inch. but my problem is that my word is showing the margin with
measure of centimeters not inches. how to convert this?

recently I installed xp pro and installed again the office.

Go to Tools > Options > General and change the "measurement units" dropdown
to "Inches".
