how to connect to a remote Exchange Server using Outllok

both the Exchange Server and Outlook are in the WAN network, how does the
Outlook connect to the Exchange server using the Exchange Profile?

anybody with any ideas?

Dpending on your version you can connect to it by a VPN connection. Contact
your mail administrator for details and options for your company.

The WAN environment:
1. Server side: Windows Server 2000 + Exchange Server 2000 + VPN Server
2. Client side: Windows 2000 + Outlook 2000 at the remote side

how does the Outlook connect to Exchange 2000 in the WAN environment?

You must contact your administrator for the details on how you connect to
your company from home. Once you are connected you can create a mail profile
containing the Exchange Service by going to Control Panel-> Mail-> button
Show Profiles...
