My friend use Win 2000 Pro. He want to install Win 98/Win ME in the slave
drive to make a dual boot system.
Without using 3rd party boot manager, can any one teach me how to configure
the boot.ini to make a dual boot system?

TIA

Basically what you have to do is install Windows 98, and then either repair
the Win2k installation
or make an entry in boot.ini like this

c:\="Windows 98"
