How to change the Logontype by script from user-friendly to normal ?

Hy,

i found two registrykeys that configure the Logontype (normal/user-friendly)
at HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon LogonType (DW)
and AllowMultipleTSSessions (DW).

When i change these Values the LogonType changes but the Background Color
becomes black :-( Changes in the Default Users Colorsettings in the registry
doesn´t help.

Has anyone a hint for me how to change the Logontype so that the Logonscreen
looks like switched normal by using the control panel ?

Hi Jonas,

Welcome Screen and/or W2K Style only needs the one Dword value changed.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\
CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
LogonType
0 = Classic Mode, 1 = Welcome Screen

Theme or color:

[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
ThemeManager]

Locate the key NormalColor
Right Click on it and select modify.
Change where it says "NormalColor" to "Metallic"

Hy,

changing the LogonType works, but the Background Color of the Screen becomes
black instead of blue. The Thememanager\ColorName Key just makes the windows
look "normal" or "metallic" not the background.

Greetings

Jonas
