How to Change Style in a Form?

D

David Godinger

Hi,

Using the wizard, I created a form with one of the default styles.

Now I'd like to change the background style. After putting the form into
Design mode, I can't seem to find a way in Properties or in any of the
other menus.

Fill/Back Color is not what I want.

Thanks for your help.

Dave

You should be able to view the forms property sheet in design mode.

When you "first" bring up the form in design mode..the form is selected. If
you click on any part of the form (controls, or details sections), then you
will NOT see the forms property. Either click in the upper left hand square
to re-select the form, or go edit->select form.

You can now view the properties sheet for the form. In the "format"
tab...you will see the "picture" prosperity. You can either empty this
property to remove the current background picture...or simply select this
property..and use tee [...] button to browse to a picture of your choice.

Hi Dave,

Open the form in Design View and then go to:

Format | Autoformat

You can select a different style for your form and controls there.

If all you want to do is just change the background, then go
to the form's Properties List (while in Design View) and find the
option that says "Picture" on the Format or All tabs. You can
remove the picture completely or select a different one.

If you just want to add/remove some color on the form's background
you actually need to go to the properties list for each *section*
of the form: Header, Detail, Footer, etc. You will find a BackColor
property on the Format or All tabs there.

Hope that helps.
Post back if you have problems.
