How to Change Size of Existing Logical Drives

I have 2 logical drives on my system (Win XP Home). The c
drive was established at 20 gig and the d drive at 50
gig. I have been using the PC for a while and have filled
up the c drive. Is there a relatively painless way to
modify the size of these logical drives?

easiest way is to get a third party partition program,
such as partition magic and resize as necessary. make
sure you back up your important info before doing so,
just in case you mess up.

not sure if there is a worthwhile freebie alternative out
there.

I looked at Partition Magic and other similar application
descriptions and I don't see that they allow change to the
logical drive sizes, only the partition sizes. My logical
drives exist in only one partition.

oh hmmm. you might be SOL then. your best bet is to
back up your goods and then repartition/reinstall as
needed.
