How to change mdw file to reflect a change in shared folder name?

Hi,

Previously, I had created a mdw file and all the security
settings for users and their passwords on my access
database and placed it on my LAN shared drive called
i:\engineering\.

However, recently, the shared folder has been changed by
the IS Dept to i:\engineeringshare\ instead.

Now, I am unable to access to the access database.

How can I modify the mdw file to reflect this change in
shared drive name?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Fook Loon

This depends on how you logon to Access. If you ONLY logon with this
workgroup, then the easiest way is to open your Workgroup Admininstrator
(which is located off the Tools menu in Access 2000/2002 ... can't remember
where it's located for Access 97, but a quick File Search on your computer
would tell you) and JOIN the workgroup at it's new location. If, however,
you logon through a desktop shortcut (or some other method that uses similar
ways), you'll need to edit the Target property of the shortcut to reflect
the new location. Right click the shortcut, click Properties, then edit the
Target property to show the new location.
