how to change font for whole presentation

I do presentations that require me to use the same information, but requires
me to change the backgrounds. How can I change font style or color with one
step versus having to change it slide by slide.
 
Thanks for the information on how to change the font style, do you know how
to do the same thing for color?
 
If the text is in placehoders you can change the colour on the master
slide(s) you may need to "apply to all slides" in the slide design menu
 
If the text is elsewhere you can modify the colour scheme in the colour
scheme panel at the bottom is" edit colour schemes". You can then modify the
text colour. Be aware that this will effect future presentations unless you
put it back.

Change the background, body and title text formatting and so on there.
Your slides, will probably follow along.

If not, it most likely means that the text in the slides isn't in
"placeholders", which also means that it won't be in the outline view and won't
follow the master.
