How to block Macromedia Flash?

B

Bruce W...1

I removed the Macromedia Flash player from my PC. Is there a way to
block IE from asking if I want to install Flash?

You see I'm really tired of websites that look like discos. Some
websites use Flash in a most offensive manner, like tvguide.com for
instance. So I disabled animations, sounds, and I block popups with the
Google Toolbar. Ahhhh! Peace and quiet, tranquil browsing.

I'd leave Flash installed if it had a way to disable animations and
sounds, but it does not.

So how can I make IE stop asking me if I want to instal Flash?

Thanks for your help.

Along with blocking many browser hijacking parasites SpywareBlaster can
disable Flash.
Keep it updated regularly for new parasites.
