How to bend words UP in Powerpoint?

If you've created the words in WordArt: click on the word to bring up the
WordArt popup; select "wordart shape" (to the right of Format WordArt"; and
pick the "smiley" arc.
 
I'm working in Powerpoint 2003. I'm not finding that option of "wordart
shape" just wordart gallery. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?
 
Once you've opened WordArt Gallery, selected the example with the text with
the downward arc, typed your word, and then clicked OK, your word appears on
your slide. Now, right click on your word and select "Show WordArt Toolbar."
