The Internal XP backup program cannot back up to a CDR but it can back up to
a CDRW if you have UDF packet writing software installed.This will allow it
to write directly to a CDRW.
But you are still limited by the size of the disc..650mb.I bet your HD holds
more than that.
So you can go and partition your HD(providing you have room and the
program)and then use one partition to back up the other partition.When you
are done doing whatever you can restore.
I personally back up to a 2nd HD as well as a DVD+RW....so far it holds all
of my XP partition.
