How to avoid extra line spaces using Word as editor?

Recipients of my emails all complain that there are extra spaces between
paragraphs when I send from Outlook, using MS Word as my email editor. From
my Outlook, I see no problem, however. I also had this problem with the Auto
Signature, but was able to fix that one by following instructions from
another post using <DELETE>, <SHIFT>, <ENTER> between lines in the Signature
settings. There does not seem to be an equivalent solution for the body of
the email.

Don't use Word as your editor ?

If everyone sent and received email in plain text, there would be far less
of a problem with phishing, trojans etc.

You could still use word as your editor. Just go to the Options tab on the
email and select to send as plain text.

You might also try pressing shift+enter instead for a new paragraph. That
will create a line feed instead of a new paragraph mark so you'll have better
control of the spacing.

Hi,

I have a similar problem. My user HAD both Word 2003 options set as her
editor and was getting extra line spacing in their AutoSignature, not the
body of the message.

However, we turned that off, exited Outlook 2003 and restarted Outlook and
it is still there when she creates a new message.
We then went into her Signature and deleted the Returns and replace then
with Shift+Enters and that works. (Work around).

Question: Does the change from using Word as the editor change an existing
AutoSignature, or does she have to recreate a new one, now that she is no
longer using Word as her editor to remove the extra lines spacing?

And why would it be doing that anyway, if in her Word, her Normal Style in
her Normal.dot does not have any added line spaces or space before or after.

Thanks for any forthcoming explaination and instructions.
